Myself & others have been looking into the possibility of adding Uninstall Program to the context menu when right clicking items on the desktop. This will run the selected applications uninstall program without having to use control panel.
Below you will find links to 'Uninstall_app.reg' & 'Remove_uninstall_app.reg' which will add new keys to the registry which will run the 'Uninstall a program' control panel app to the centext menu.
Registry keys added are:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Uninstall]
@="Uninstall Programs"
"NoWorkingDirectory"=""
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Uninstall\command]
@="rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL appwiz.cpl"
Currently this will only add Uninstall Programs to the context menu and will run the 'Add/Remove programs' application. As of yet it will not uninstall the selected application but that is a work in progress.
If any1 has any ideas then the help would be great.
