Solved Vista registry issue

I have a simple problem: access to registry editor was blocked by some malware. Now I removed the malware (an old worm which somehow passed through Windows Defender while I was browsing a DVD).

But access to Registry Editor is still blocked and I have to restore it manually. However, I have Vista Home Premium x64, which doesn't include Group Policy Editor. How else can I restore access to regedit?

Any advice will be helpful ... thanks ...

Hey there Dwarf and thanks for the suggestion.

Method three sounds like what I need, but I combed that page for a link to the file mentioned in method three (that vbs script) but I couldn't find it at all (end of article, start of article, end of comments, etc).

Maybe I'm blind ...
