I am using Vista Home Premium 32-bit and I am having problem logging in using my user account. An error flagged "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User Account/Profile cannot be loaded."
The Event Viewer window has these details:
Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.
DETAIL -
1 user registry handles leaked from \Registry\User\S-1-5-21-2363711691-2099609217-1737805787-1001_Classes:
Process 944 (\Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\svchost.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-2363711691-2099609217-1737805787-1001_CLASSES
I was able to logged in through Safe Mode but still an error flagged in status bar that the profile was not properly loaded.
Although I was able to copy all data from that user account to a new account, can I still troubleshoot the problem and be able to log in using the old user account? I have all my shortcuts and archives there and "every customized thing".
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
