Hello, I'm new to this forum (because I have a problem with Vista that's frustrating me).
Well, my original problem was the constant freezing that Vista caused. Certain applications like Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player would freeze and not respond, and eventually it would cause the whole system to freeze, forcing me to shut down and restart via the on/off button. I Googled the problem but only found limited help (majority of forum replies were "I have the same problem! Help!"); however, one suggestion stated that I should uninstall my antivirus software.
So I did, and switched to AVG. The problem seems to be fine now.
So, here comes another problem...
I recently reinstalled Opera, due to the fact that a balloon notification kept saying something about a corrupted .exe file (or something along that line). However, now I cannot seem to be able to delete the desktop icon; doing so causes a dialoag to appear saying that Windows Explorer has stopped responding, and is sending information to Microsoft. Another dialog that pops up is that Windows Explorer has stopped working, and after, constantly refreshes the screen.
Please help! I'm becoming an angry man...
