Hey guys I've just bought a HP 6735s Laptop,it has 1gig Ram,AMD Sempron SI-40 2GHz Processor,160HDD & Vista Basic.I Believe the mobo is a HP 30E4 KBC Version 94.1B? not sure and was wondering the limitations on upgrading? Also has a ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics Card,is it any good? cheerz

It depends what you want to upgrade.

Is this your lappy?

Realistically the only upgrades worth considering would be a bigger HD and some more RAM. Going to 2GB at least would make it feel a bit more snappier.

As for the 3200, it depends what you want to do with it. If it's for games, then unfortunately no, it's not much chop in that department.

According to that site, it can take up to 8GB of ddr2 800 (PC2-6400) RAM. Even if you add just another 1GB stick, you would notice a difference. Going up to 4GB would give it a nice kick in the pants ;) 8GB would be overkill though.

What you should do is change from Vista to windows 7
Vista takes up too much resources
adding ram will make a big difference but changing to windows 7 will make a huge difference too
i did that cause i got the same laptop and its running perfect!
