measure backup speed

how can i see speed of complete pc backup in Vista? It gives no details when backing up.

Also, if folders (documents etc) are redirected to another drive by changing the drive letter only in documents properties, will documents be saved in a complete pc backup of C drive.......with documents redirected to E drive.

Or are the contents of documents actually only on E drive and requires a separate backup.

Hello Hikarisun,

About the only thing that you can do to speed up a Complete PC Backup is to upgrade to faster hardware, and delete files that are not needed.

Since the redirected file are actually being save on the E: drive instead of C: , then they will not be backed up when doing a Complete PC Backup on the C: drive. They will require a separate backup.

ok thanks, i was justcurious to know the speed of the backup transfer.

in complete pc backup can i check both c drive and e drive at the same time for one image, or is it necessary to make 2 separate images for each drive or partition?

Yes, you should be able to check the E: drive to as long as you are not backing up to that drive.
