Can anyone help? I had some malware on my computer and fixed it. Now, the computer takes longer to boot up and the taskbar does not show up. I can open a program on the desktop, but once its open I am not able to click on anything. The only way I can get the taskbar to show up is by opening up taskmanager. Then it mysteriously shows up. Can anyone help? Am I missing some start-up files that got deleted when I "fixed" my computer.

Hello Dianas, and welcome to Vista Forums.
I would say that the damage has been done, and it's time to format the hard drive and do a clean reinstall of Vista. Be sure to backup anything that you do not want to lose first though.
