Solved Transfers with explore problem

When I try to use explore (right click on the Start button) and drop and drag pictures from an external drive to my picture folders, the window closes, fails, and refreshes back tot he desktop. It use to work fine but for the last few months it fails. I like to choose several pictures on an external drive and simply move them to my hard drive. Can someone help or suggest a quick alternative. Thanks.

Hello Jrweis, and welcome to Vista Forums.

I suppose that if you use your C:\Users\(user name)\Pictures folder a lot, then you could create a shortcut of it to the desktop to use. This way you could drag and drop on that shortcut folder a bit faster.

Another alternative is to add Copy to Folder and Move to Folder to the context menu. This way you can just select the pictures on the external drive, right click on them, click on Copy to Folder, and select the Pictures folder to copy them all to in one swift move.
