Display Pictures on Desktop

I'm pretty sure that when I first got my computer I had the option to display pictures on my desktop like I would an icon not a background. It would be movable and it would go on top of the desktop background just like an icon does and I can't remember how I did it or if I changed the settings on my computer so that I could not do it anymore! Could someone help me please?

Welcome to vista forum. i believe you asked about slide show ?!?!?!?

here we go....Click start > type: sidebar > open it > click on + sign on top of sidebar and add slide show gadget > click and drag slide show gadget on to your desktop and check.
