I have an HP Pavilion dv2913cl
I thought I followed the directions accurately to install a bootable partition and load Windows Server 2003. After doing so, when I booted, it did not recognize my Vista x64 partition as an option, only presenting an option to boot into Server 2003. I loaded System Recovery Module, which then gave me an option to select my C drive, but it does not recognize my admin password for x64 and let me boot into it.
I can see all my x64 system and files on my C drive, and I can see the recovery partition that came on the pc when I bought it (alas, no recovery disks came with it). However, when I go to the recovery partition folder, it is blank, even though the folder reads around 11mb in size.
I tried taking ownership of this folder and the folders/files on the C drive, but it won't let me.
Anyone have any idea how I can recover my Vista x64 boot? I don't care if I lose the Server 2003 install, just as long as I can recover my x64 environment without losing my files.
