Apparently not.. i opened the mouse properties and it showed current driver is 6.10.158.0 from 1-29-07 and says the device is working properly.. I will go to the link you provided and see what happens.

Yes, that seems to have taken care of the issue. one note. until I came across this forum i was lost trying to find direction and a solution. short of paying for an on-line chat I was frustrated.
I guess I feel MS could/should make it easier to resolve these kinds of issues.
overall I am pleased with the response time etc from this forum.
