Solved Vista won't start and mouse and keyboard (both Wireless) don't work

Hi,

I have recently purchased Vista Business and it has been running OK for about a week with some assistance from Microsoft support. This morning I woke up and the system won't boot. I put the Vista disc into the PC and I get a page that comes up called "Install Windows" with 3 selections:

1. Language to Install
2. Time and currency format
3. Keyboard or input method

However my mouse and keyboard do not allow me to make the appropriate selectios or click the "next" button to continue.
Can anyone help?

Hello Scoop, and welcome to Vista Forums

If they are USB, then double check in your BIOS settings to make sure that you have a "USB Keyboard/Mouse Support" at dos or boot type option enabled.

You might also test by having the wireless receiver plugged into different USB ports to see if it may be a problem with that USB port.

The problem rectified itself after 4 days. I think I might have a Hardware problem, but we'll see if it happens again.
