Solved Password expired - Access is denied

hi skript kiddie here

Problem:
administrator account was locked
user account password for the admin is denied.


What happened:
i locked my computer because family members where accesing it during inappropriate times.
administrator password is denied, it has either expired or changed,
i need this account becuase of system changes that need supervised
have tried CMD
and other related links peoplehave suggested.
all come up blank

Hi,

There are several methods here.

Using PCLogin now is effective - simply boot from cd, select o/s, next, select the account, next, tick password is empty, next, no when it asks if you want to change anything else - remove cd, reboot.

If you have anything encrypted , you may then have trouble without the password, otherwise, should be fine.

dont have cd system came allready installed no such disc was recived aswell only the system

If you have a OEM computer, then it should have a recovery partition that can be used to restore Vista back to factory defaults if you have to.

If you can post back what brand you have, we may be able to find a link with instructions on how to do it from the manufacturer.

The cd I meant is not one that comes with the system . You make it yourself.

Download the iso file from pclogin now website

PCLoginNow, Reset or Recover Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista Administrator Password.

and burn it to a recordable cd using this free iso burner. Do not format the cd - if Autoplay pops up, just close it.

Start your pc and watch the black screen with white writing.

One of the first things it says is something like :

F2 for setup
F11 for boot menu (your F numbers may be different )

Press F11 ( or whatever yours is) and a menu will appear. Arrow to CDromdrive, put the cd in, press Enter.

It will ask again, Press any key to boot from cd - Press Enter.

You should then be able to access your pc. Alternatively, you can restore to factory condition , as Shawn says - but you will lose all your installed programs, settings and data if you do that.

cannot relive back to factory defaults not an option

is the cd contain any such harmful material?
