Don't know if this is application (Trend Micro) related or Vista related. Have had Trend Micro icon in quick launch since I got my laptop. However, now there is a blank where the icon used to sit. If I mouse over it, the Trend Micro tag/banner still appears. I can even double click the blank spot and it will launch the app.. I've right clicked and played with all the setting pertaining to hide/show, notification, etc.., with no luck. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? Not crucial (app still works), but kinda of annoying with no visual...Thanks!
You might see if when you go to the hidden Quick Launch C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch system folder, then see if you can change the Trend Micro shortcut's icon to itself a few times to see if the icon will display afterwards.
If not, then you can create a new shortcut from the Trend Micro exe file and move it into the folder above to replace the old one.
