Windows Vista Installer Error 1721....?

Hey guys, I'm trying to help my brother with a problem he has been having on his computer. He is trying to install some Home Audio Recording Software/hardware. MOTU to be exact.

Basically We are getting the Windows Installer Error 1721 Error when trying to uninstall the failed first install, or when trying to re-install, or repair.. all the above.

I've googled this and got many answers and tried them all. With no luck. I was told to enter cmos, then unregister and reregister it (the Windows Installer Program things).. and that did not work..

While searching I found people with the same problem. But they were unable to install or uninstall things. I'm able to install, or uninstall anything I want.. Except the program we want to install. Why would only that have the problem.

If anyone's had the Windows Error 1721 problem. I could sure use the help/idea's/thoughts.

To remove this program use Windows Installer Cleanup ->Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and other unnaccesary values,orphans

Try to reinstall Windows Installer ->Download details: Windows Installer 4.5
