Backup did not complete successfully

Seven days ago I created my first post on this subject and received a response from the Vista Forum on 1/12/09 which I followed, and everything was updated successfully.

However, after inputting the proper commands to "change the maximum shadow copy storage value," I still get: "the backup did not complete successfully."

Does anybody have another solution for this backup problem? Or, why the steps in KB940970 did not fix my problem?

I suggest you use third party software like Acronis true image, r-drive image, Norton ghost.... Much better programmes for backing up then Vistas in-built one

I had bad luck with XP backup & now use Acronis TrueImage11& never have a problem. It will backup your whole drive, OS included & easy to use & in case of a Black screen the boot disk will get you up & working. It costs us$20 or less.
