Turn off the Windows Key from activating the start menu?

Is there a way to stop the Windows Key from activating the start menu, but still work with standard Windows+x key commands?

In XP, I used my Windows Key to map to Ventrilo speak (I used Litestep, not Explorer). In Vista (and Windows 7) this little bug is proving to be quite annoying. I've love to be able to just disable to Start Menu pop-up, or at least disable it when in game, but still maintain it as a normal key.

Good day Shawn. Thanks for the link. I actually did find that forum initially, unfortunately I'm not looking at completely disabling it. I just want to stop it from popping the start menu. I'm guessing that's just not possible?

Do you use a Logitech mouse?

If so, the Logitech SetPoint software allows you to disable the Windows key.
