Hey guys,
Bought a new Dell PC last year with Vista premium already installed on it. I had some issues when I tried to update (service pack one cause the admin users access to freeze upon logging in crtl-alt-del wouldnt even work).
Created a new users or a guest and vista seemed to work fine (though logging in as the old admin user still cause the system to freeze).
1 month or so later and the system will allow me to log on (new user/guest) and within 60 seconds the system loggs off and shuts down all on its own).
Restarting in Safe mode cause this to shut down to happen even faster
As the system starts up fine and allowed me to log on view the files on my desk top, I took this as a sign my hard drive/power source was working. (Right?)
A tech that looked at the machine Briefly mentioned that it might be because Microsoft is under the impression that this is a pirated copy for some reason (why the issue also happens is safe mode)
Anyone have any similar issue?
