screen resolution reminder is bugging me

hi guys can you please tell me how to disable this resolution reminder? it stays on the lower right side of my screen. and i cant even click it or what. i have windows vista.




here's what the reminder says:

Your computer resolution may not match the monitor's optimum (1440x 900) setting. To adjust your screen resolution, see your computer's printed or online documentation. Press the AUTO button on the side of this monitor after adjusting the screen resolution.

and then it has this tingy

This is usually a symptom of not having the correct drivers installed. Download and install the newest drivers for your graphics card.

Have you got your resolution set to the highest setting? Right click on the desktop and go to Display settings and set it to the highest. And having the latest Graphics drivers like Dzomlija says.

This sounds like a Gateway Display, is it?

i think we dont have the same :[ what shall i do? i tried putting it into highest but it wont work. It says frequeny out of range.

Move the resolution slider bar up until you reach the correct resolution of 1440x900

What kind of graphics card do you have? Go to the Start Menu-Control Panel-Performance Information and Tools then click where it says View and Print Details and show us what it says.

I guess you mean the reminder of your MONITOR, not from Windows...

This notification comes from your monitor....Press the Menu button on your monitor and navigate to it's several options. One of them is about this resolution reminder.
(You monitor suggests you the best resolution that it supports.)
Search around the on-screen menu of your monitor, you will find where to disable it. If not, tell us which monitor brand/model you have and we will guide you through it.

I'm glad you found where to turn it off. Go to this site and check your driver to see if it is up to date because this might be why the warning was coming up. If you have the up to date drivers then the display message should go away and you should be able to set your display to 1400x900.
