Window Thumbnail preview

I have lost my windows preview thumbnails and have tried everything in this forum to get them back. In my taskbar properties, it is unchecked and NOT hilighted to recheck it. Can someone help me out here.

Right click on the desktop and select Personalize. Click on Theme and ensure that the setting is as shown below. Click on Apply and then OK or just click on OK and then close the Personalize appearance and sounds window.

Another issue might be that you have changed the program that handles images.

To fix that, right-click on an image and select Open With - > Choose Program.

From the program list choose "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" and check the box below "Always use this program to open files of this type" (or something, I have it in greek on mine) and press OK.

Every now and then, when I download a new image file, its thumbnail would not appear when I view it in Explorer. Instead of the thumbnail image, it would display a generic icon.

It would only appear after I reboot the computer.
