Strange Problem on Drive C

My problem is, that, i select EVERYTHING in the C Drive
(Operating System, Hidden Files, Programs) and it says that it all weighs 177 GB.
I have 279 GB On my HD, and on the C Drive, it says that i only have 75 GB Free,
while i should have 102 GB free.


Can somebody explain this to me?

It may be the space that System Restore is using for restore points and shadow copy. This tutorial will help show you how to see how much is being used and how to adjust it if needed.

Actually System Restore is already disabled.
I can't find a reason for those 30 GB's.
By the way, what is a shadow Copy?

Shadow copy is part of System Protection that is used for Previous Versions.

Vista will have some of your hard drive space allocated for page memory as well, but I do not know where 30 GB may have went. That is a bit much with System Restore turned off.

You might also run Disk Cleanup to see how much space it can clear.
