Unable to change Permissions in Registry

Hi Everyone,
I am having an issue trying to change the permissions in my registry using Windows Vista Ultimate x64. When I try to give it Full access it gives me an error. "Unable to save permission changes on USB". "Access is Denied"

The key I am trying to change permissions on:
HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB

Does anyone know how to get around this issue?

Thanks.

I am not able to take ownership. There is not file to take ownership. I know I can do this permissions on my XP Pro SP3 System but for some reason I am not able to do this function on my Vista Ultimate x64 OS.

the tutorial is for a registry key as well, not just files. That is what you want to get permission to change, right?

What are you trying to do with that key?
That key controls the enumeration of your USB devices/controller and if messed with could cause the USB controller and or devices to malfunction.

I understand what the key does and controls. I need to change permissions so I can delete a subkey under USB.
