Have Vista Home Premium on 2 computers. Working with music on desktop and want to see "bitrate" on the tracks in the music folder but it isn't listed as a detail option. It is on my laptop. Any suggestions on how to get it on the desktop?
This problem occurs when the folder template is set incorrectly. Here is the Sample Music folder set as Documents. You can see that the items available for the columns in Detail view do not include Bit rate.
To correct this, right click on a blank section and select Customize This Folder...
Select the Customize tab, if not already selected. In the first drop down box under Use this folder type as a template: select Music Details and click OK.
Notice that the items available for the columns in Detail view now include Bit rate. Also notice that the toolbar now includes the Play all button, whereas previously it didn't.

Thanks for the assist. The "play all" is available, but bitrate is still not. Think somehow the details were corrupted ... is there a way to restore them?
