My dad and I just built a desktop for him and my mom. My dad thought he had the Retail version of XP home, he doesnt it is the upgrade disc. So now he has the upgrade disc for XP home and the upgrade disc for Vista home premium, but no retail version of any windows OS. We cant install either the XP upgrade or the Vista upgrade without a windows OS already on the computer.
Basically I was wondering if there is a legal way to get an older OS on there so we can upgrade to XP then Vista. This was supposed to be a budget build so hopefully something that isnt to costly.
Any ideas are welcome
