It sounds good, but is it really worth it?
What are you running to use that much memory. Use the money to upgrade your graphics card or go quad core mate. Its up to you I suppose.

Currently, most programs are made for a 32 bit world. There are not a lot of programs that take more than 1 or 2 GB of ram. I have 4GB and Home Premium 64x. I find that even when using a large program, my computer never uses 60-70% (2.5-2.8gb).
I am currently using 8GB with Vista Home Premium, and so far it seems to work fine for me.
With this computer, i have gone for as much as possible with the equipment for my money.
As i wanted to make it as future proof as i can.

Hi.......im running 8gb on Vista ultimate x64 with no probs at all, this OS loves RAM!! the handy thing with this much RAM is the amount that's cached....
my paging file has been set to 512mb freeing up about 7gb of hdd space, & when using a virtual drive it will store the whole ''iso'' image to the RAM :eek: which then loads far quicker.....
my Vista install currently uses about 2gb idle, but its never been quicker.....
