Solved Direct X 10 won't install

I recently purchased a GeForce GTX260 and am trying to get direct x 10 on my new pc. I looked at EVEREST and it's telling me that I have directx9 installed, I try to get 10 but it says I already have it. What am I missing or forgetting to do?

Hello xxsomethingxx, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You are not missing anything. Vista comes with DirectX 10 already installed. You usually end up having to install DirectX 9 for older games, but it usually included with the game and gets installed when the game is.
