One very inconvenient Vista quirk is that when I seek to drag / drop items from the hidden part of my quick launch bar to the visible part - which I sometimes need to in order to rearrange it after a program has added an item there - the image that the cursor is dragging is the size of a quite chunky desktop icon and obscures the 'drop' I-beam cursor in the launch bar, making it very difficult for me to 'drop' the icon in the right position.
I similarly find that in Vista (and not previously), if I drag a hyperlink from Firefox I find that I'm dragging an image of the whole link text, which again can be confusing and sometimes obscuring for accurate placement of my 'drop' point.
Is there some way I could turn off this behaviour? I've already configured Vista not to show the contents of windows while they are being dragged, and I'd really like similar behaviour with other objects when dragged.
Kind regards,
