problem advanced power management

Hi. I am trying to access the advanced power management options. I click on contorl panel, power options, change plan settings. Then, when i click on change advanced power settings, nothing happens. the border of the window flashes once, but no new window opens, and I can't access the advanced power managament screen. Anyone have this prob? Running Vista Business x32 on acer travelmate2410. Any ideas? Am I missing a driver? Mike

Hello MBlackburn, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might run a sfc /scannow command to see if it can find and fix any bad system files that may be causing this.

If this does not help, then you try a System Restore using a restore point dated before you had this problem.
