OK, so I have a question guys. Over the last few weeks I've became a Pro with lots of things, I know more about RAM, CPU's and overclocking then I ever have. and I know more about Overclocking on Nvidia boards then the average person by a long shot. lol. I'm finally stable. but I keep having all my settings get reset.
Here's my problem. I have my PC set so that It does NOT require a password when it Wakes, only on boot. but every few days it resets and starts asking for a password. also i have the power settings so that the display turns off after 30 minutes, and the PC goes to sleep after 45 mins. But that auto;s back to 20 minute display and sets to NEVER sleep.
I have a theory, it's probably a pretty good one, and very possible. but I'm not sure. I know these somewhat advanced machine's us people call computers have a thing where they remember stuff (LOL)
So should it be remembering it. Or is it VERY much possible that all my different settings, and trial and error of overclocking, and the often times I overdue it and my system Crashes. Is this whats causing all these settings to get messed up. I overclock it, or it crashes during a Prime95 test or something. that could be it, not sure tho.
I did try for 3.8 GHz a few days ago and it froze, I had to hit cmos reset. that probably killed all my settings, but I've only done that once. So whats with all the other times. So is it possible that all these crashes have been changing my settings, or should they not be getting reset like that.
Just wondering, if it's from all my crashes and what not, then thats ok. I'm done with that now I'm stable. but if it's something else I'd like to fix it. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks!
p.s. did you guys john, fatboy, any of you see my new 3DMark06 score in my sig, I'm slowly getting there. all I want is to break 17,000
