I’ve set up my Favorite Links pane just the way I like it in Windows Explorer. Among other things, I have links to both Desktop and Computer. Works great.
However, whenever I encounter a Save As or File Open dialog, the Favorite Links pane has some extra links added. I’d rather it didn’t – I thought these were meant to be *my* favorite links, not Vista’s idea of what my favorites should be – but I can live with most of them (e.g. My SharePoint Sites, Recent Places).
But the thing that really sucks, is that Vista kindly adds Desktop and Computer as well – oblivious to the fact that they’re already there. So I end up with 2 of them…
If Vista was consistent, then I wouldn’t add them myself. But if I don’t, then they’re not available in Windows Explorer…
Is there a way to limit which additional links Vista adds to the Favorite Links pane in File Open and Save As dialogs?
Thanks!
