error 1935 in vista

Hey guys,

I try installing a huwaii 3G vodafone modem on vista business.
and i get the following error:

Error 1935.An error occurred during the intsallation of assembly component
{98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}.HRESULT:0X800706BE.

I installed the .Net framework(s) 1.1 and 2.0 again and i still get the same error...what could be the cause and resulution to this problem..

i also tried to disable the UAP and reinstall and i still get the same problem even running as administrator...can any one advice

I managed to find a workaround for Error 1935.

Since the software actually installs itself and copies the files along with the associated services before the error message appears, all I had to do was to kill the installation process so that it could not "roll back" the installation and uninstall itself when the installation did inevitably failed.

I managed to do this by downloading procexp.exe ( Process Explorer ) and by then getting the Process ID's (PID) of Seagate_Manager.exe along with the two msiexec.exe ID's. I then ran the following command in Command Prompt (cmd.exe):

Taskkill /PID 2180 /PID 2036 /PID 376 /F

Of course 2180, 2036 and 376 would be replaced by the three Process ID's that you managed to find.

So far everything is running smoothly for me and I am able to use all the features in the program.
