dreamscene option has disapeared

Hi all
After downloading the last ultimate update the dreamscene option in the background menu disapeared. The option doesnt't exist anymore I have searched this site for the past 4 hours and can't find a solution or for that matter anyone else who has a similar problem.
I am new here so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, ccwawa, and welcome to the forums.

Are you sure you are right clicking on the desktop and then selecting Desktop Background? In there, when you use the drop down box the second option should be DreamScene content....

Yes I am absolutely sure about that when right clicking on the desktop then selecting desktop backround the "dreamscene content option is not there anymore. I have used dreamscene before and found it kind of cool so I would like to get it back.
The file in c/windows/web/dreamscene is there but it wont show in the desktop background options

yes the file is in windows web and the individual clips will run in wmp.
Other info I have aero set in color and apperance and I have transparancy box check.
Also aero 3d thing works
I would guess that there is something in the registry that went missing for some reason.
Unfortunatly I don't know how to look around the registry on a computer.

O, since DreamScene is something that is added via Windows Update, just go into WU and remove the Dream Scene related updates and then let WU reinstall them for you.

Thanks for the direction johngalt I removed the updates and the original dreamscene started working I reinstalled the updates and it stopped working again so the is somting wrong with the update but all is well for know

With my one year long odesy with vista its not that weird to me unfortunatly. nothing but trouble. Now that i found this forum hopefuly I can fix a lot of my problems.
