Reg Cleaner deleted All my start menu folders?

Hi,
I downloaded a highly rated registry cleaner from CNET (download.com) and ran it on my Vista Ultimate (x32) laptop. When I rebooted many of the programs I had installed were missing from the start menu. All the programs are still there in C:/Programs but the folder listings are all gone in the start menu.
Is there a way to restore all these? I did a system restore but that didn't fix the Start menu issue.

Any help is sincerely appreciated...

Don't use them with Vista. They don't work. Most of the time they are not written for Vista and cause great damage. I wish Microsoft would warn users about them. I would suggest a clean install every 12 months.

Thank you... I've always had great success with CCleaner (and still do). I thought I would try a different one to see if CCleaner missed anything and that's when problems occurred.

Any guess how I can batch copy all the program folders as shortcuts and make them appear in the start menu as they were installed with the different software packages?
