For many reasons machine would not boot but in safe mode. I was able to backup my personal data in safe mode ... Then proceeded to do the recovery process ... I tried regular recovery , wiped out the disk , but thesame thing happens .. After the process the system reboots and I get the status bar ... it runs about 4 secs and hangs up?.. Help .. fyi I was able to load xp professional without a problem but would rather keep this as the Vista that ws on it... any ideas
What exactly are you trying to do in safe mode, first of all? and since you have everything backed up, it might be a good idea to go ahead and re-install from scratch....
