What tweaks to do?

Hi!,

I'e been using my new PC with Windows x64 Ultimate SP1. I'm very happy with it, I haven't run into any problems with it and everything is running smoothly.

I'd like to know what are the major tweaks I should do to improve performance even more. I'm concerned more about performance than anything. I've also noticed that there is a lot of disk access, even after shutting down the indexing service. Mainly, I'd like to know what services are safe to turn off. In XP I knew what to disable, in Vista a lot of things have changed. Also what is a good Pagefile size for a system with 8b of ram?

I mostly use my PC for photo editing (Photoshop and Lightroom), and for playing a few games, Crysis and Live For Speed.

My hardware is the following:
Intel Core Quad Q6600
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Motherboard
8Gb Crucial DDR2 ram
WD Raptor X 150gb
WD Caviar 320Gb
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS

I consider my hard fast enough, and it runs very fast for me. But I am the kind of person that wants to disable anything that I don't use to get that bit of extra performance.

You can also download Vista Manager from Yamicsoft, just Google it!

It has tons of features to tweak Vista.
