OK, Naming my computer.. HELP!!

Um, ok. so when it comes to random things like this.. I'm completely NO good, I can do all sort of artistic, and creative things, like the way I painted inside my case, and the things I had to think up and get done in order to hide some of the Wires in my cable management.. or whatever else I may do.. but for some reason lame lil things like Naming my system. I can't think of anything worth while.

So, my last computer was just called Gunther, or the user account was. cuz thats my last name.. and uh, I don't wanna do that again this time, cuz I just dont. please no sarcastic inputs please.. unless they are Comical..

so I was thinkin maybe FTW or F T W for thats what My mobo is..
a eVGA 750i FTW.. stands for (For The Win) but thats a lil to nerdy for me.. lol

I'm just havin a hard time thinkin of what I should do, so I figured I'd post here and see what some of you people come up with.. let me kno your thoughts and idea's on this. if you wanna kno things about me, or my system to help you, just ask.

LOL I had this same problem. I literally sat there for about 30 minutes trying to name it..

Then it hit me...I wanted something cheesy sounding so that people that see the name of my system would get a bit of a laugh out of the name. I named it 'DOOMBOX'.

Just throw something silly in there ;)

My home network is named based on OS.

Fedora7, XPPro, XPx64, Vistax64. So know what box I am going into remotely.

At work in the past we named servers and routers by unique names. One place, we named all the Cisco routers after the arch devils of hell: Lucifer, Satan, etc. The servers were Greek and Roman Gods. Firewall were Thor, Vulcan, and a few other Gods of war.

One of my friends named his computers after his D&D characters.

Only you really see it. If you have a problem computer, name it after your ex-girlfriend.

Named mine 'Oz'. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." :-) Replaced the dell logo with a clip art of a wizard. Just one of my 'wannabes' surfacing I reckon LOL.

my brother and I used to rename each others' computers randomly (along w/ other mean tricks like making the mouse left handed, hide things, etc. My favorite one was 'ESO' (Equipment Smarter than Operator)

Well i'll put in my two cents worth because it's ok to name your machine but in Vista don't ever try to rename your user account.. it seems there is some sort of a bug in Vista if you rename your user account somehow you end up losing control over your registry.. and if that happens then all hell breaks lose in vista beacuse no program can be installed properly after that.. saying this just incase

Thanks for all the input guys... I read this yesterday but never got around to responding cuz I had to go... and ya I actually already named it.. sadly I just did something lame and normal. some people like my last name and always call me by it. some don't but I just named it "Gunther" cuz thats my last name, hence the email address. I made that email addy back in 10th grade in high school for a computer class. haha xguntherc everyone did it the same way, x there last name, and first initial.. thats mine xguntherc.

but ya, I named the computer Gunther. not to big of I deal, thats just boring, but like someone said you never see it so oh well.. and I have start menu to classic, I don't like the new style in Vista although it makes getting to some things pretty easy, I don't use it

the idea I liked the most was whoever posted saying name is the DEVIL names.. Lucifer, satin, Kane, whatever.. haha I like that idea.

and FTW.. what does FTW mean where you come from.
or do I not want to kno.

are you saying that becuase you have a different opinion about eVGA products and you don't think they are a FTW capable board.. or does it just have a different meaning where ur from.. let me kno I'm curious now!
