To anyone who can advise...
Sure that this has cropped up before, if so please direct me to an appropriate site.
Very recently I have been unable to access several applications on my Vista Home Premium set up. Windows Media + Control Panel amongst others offers the following message when I try to use it -
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
This has just started happening today, I have tried ammending/checking the permissions etc, I am essentially the administrator for the laptop so I am a bit puzzled. Could this be some sort of bug or malware?
