Help Resetting Vista Settings? :(

I don't know what I clicked, but my vista settings changed and I no longer have the little previews when I hover over the buttons on my bottom bar thingy, and my windows are no longer semi-transparent. Does anyone know what to reset or change to get these things back? Thanks :geek:

R. Click on a empty space on the taskbar.
Click Properties> Tick settings at taskbar
to what you want them to be.

Welcome to Vista Forums. :party:

In addition to Ted's post, double check to see if you have the color scheme Windows Aero selected and that Enable Transparency is checked afterwards in the Windows Color & Appearance window. You can see how below if needed.

For Windows Vista, type the following command, and then press ENTER:secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
You receive a "Task is completed" message, and a warning message that something could not be done. You can safely ignore this message. For more information about this message, view the %windir%\Security\Logs\Scesrv.log file. Note In Windows Vista, the defltbase.inf file is a Security configuration template for the default security. You can view the settings for this file in the following location: %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf
