I am missing the Backup & Restore Center in my installation of Vista Ultimate (32bit). Any idea how to repair this and sidestep an entire reinstall of Vista?
I also seem to be missing a number of other icons in the Control Panel (classic view)... they just aren't there. Can anyone shed some light on why or how this happens, and how to fix it?
From the images I've seen posted online for a typical Ultimate Control Panel, I am missing the following items in my Control Panel:
- Audio Devices
- Backup & Restore Center
- Ease of Access
- Offline Files
- Parental Controls
- Problem Reports
- Speech Recognition
- Sync Center
- Text to Speech
- Welcome Center
Does anyone have any suggestions at all as to how to remedy this situation? Just to let you know, I have tried to alter things in the Group Policy Admin, though perhaps I wasn't making the right changes. Any advice at all would be appreciated.
Thanks
