Quick Launch buttons not working

I keep getting an error message that
"Quick Launch buttons has stopped working"
"A program has caused the program to stop working correctly"

It looks for a solution but nothing is found.
How can I remedy this problem other than shooting a silver bullet into the heart of this computer running Vista?

Hi Al,

You can see if running one of these will fix the problem for you:

1. Run a sfc /scannow command.

2. Do a System Restore with a restore point dated before the problem started.

3. Do a Repair install.
