Hey, so I had an older dell inspirion laptop with XP that I had Unreal Tournament 2004 installed on. Recently tried to install on my Vista, and it installed fine but will not play. I get the Critical Error "Please enable Direct3D acceleration." I have checked my dxdiag and the little box next to 3d acceleration is checked on, and I've never had this problem with any other game--including many other new games with full 3d graphics.
I have DirectX 10 installed, and have updated my 64mb video card to newest drivers. The card is Nvidia Geforce 6150SE. Anybody have any ideas why the program will not recognize that the 3d acceleration is actually enabled? is it possible directx 10 is not compatible with this game, since in the error message it says I need to have at least 8.1 installed?
Basic Specs: Vista 32 bit, 3 gig ram, GEforce video card, AMD Sempron(tm) Processor LE-1250, 2200 Mhz, and I have plenty of hard drive space left.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
