So, I found my old warcraft 2 game. I am trying to play it but it says that I can't. I try to run in compatibility mode for windows 95 and 98 and I try all dif kinds of settings and it still says it won't run it. why the heck not?
The experts at Microsoft are paid top dollar to make Vista sound as good as it can and they could not come up with a way to play the game. This is not saying there is no way, but I certainly dont know how its done. Sorry.
you could try installing the game in a different folder instead of the main program files folder, and Direct X might need to be copied into the windows folder as well ;-)

Lol, Warcraft 2 is FAR too old to be run off any of the newer-age Operating systems.
I currently play Warcraft 2 on Cista Home Basic 32 Bit Edition using DOSBOX. Once you learn how to mount your drive, it'll work like a charm, sound and all.
