I bought an old favorite "Doom II". Loaded fine but won't play. Error says "DPLAY.dll" not found. Went online to load "dll" and still not working. I saw some forums that said to load it to your "windows\system 32" but I can't find that after a search. I'm lost and I'm a idiot when it come to computers. Any help would be greatly appreciate. I have Vista home version.

With a lot of older games you might try moving the DoomII directory to the Root directory out from under the C:\Program Files directory. You might have to reinstall the game to the Root directory, and then run as administrator, and you might have to run under windows XP compatible. See if that helps.

    Upgraded the power supply to 600Watt, in order to get the Nvidia 8800 graphics card to run. And added 1GB of memory even through 32 bit Vista will not use it all.

This game should run Doom 2 OK.
Try this .ddl file and put it in the games directory.

Doom 2 (Doom95) (Requires DPlay.dll in the game's directory for doom95 to work properly
