I decided to install the game Grid but the installer will not run because it says that its not compatible with the windows version im running.. But 5 months ago i installed it with no problems. That happened with some other games i installed.. i have the same windows version on my desktop and there i never had any problem instaling just on my laptop.. I have vista home premium 64bit.
I already tried to go to the setup and run it in compability mode but still doesnt work..
What should i do? How come i use to be able to instal and now im not?

I have had the ability to play older games. I speculate that after installing SP2 on the x64 you lose the ability to install/play older x86 games. I cant play my MechWarrior 4 anymore and it has me annoyed. I also assume at times...even though sounds stupid..that newer hardware is just too high end for older games that they cant be installed on them. I know its silly but possible. Just keep trying in compatibility mold all the way back to windows 2000/xp settings and try it out more. It might just work if it feels like it.
