So im pretty new to threads and forums in general (straight Noob). Sorry for sucking at life but any help would be appreciated.
So my cpu spins up to a solid 100% when i start this game and pretty much stays at 100% the entire time. Ive tried a couple of things to fix with no luck. A friend of mine has the same game and is running a lesser system all the way down. but he says he has the game set at max and it runs perfectly? The game "runs" on my comp but has clipping issues and 100% cpu. I ran the benchmark and can get 51 fps on full res. I have tried turning everything to low but it looks like crap and it helps a little bit. Either way i know i should be able to run this game at high everything.?????????????????????????? I have heard that some games will run 100% cpu but on both cores? That just sounds weird to me if not damaging?
Either way this is what im packin:
Vista Ultimate 64 bit
Duo Core 3.1 ghz
Asus P5N-D mobo
850 psu
2x HD radeon 512 4850 (i know my mobo is sli and im *trying* to run crossfire on it). Im trying to work around that until i get an asus rampage
8 gigs RAM
older Audigy sound card
What ive done so far:
tried rolling back to the org ATI drivers rather than the tweaked drivers. no luck
tried taking my crossfire bridge off. no luck
tried deleting OL files in the binary. nada
tried taking my old sound card off. zip
tried running compatibilty mode.
tried pulling one of my g cards.
tried pulling 4 gigs of ram out. NOTHING
