Gears of War unknown problem HELP!

When I run Gears of War for my PC, about a minute into the game it freezes and goes back to my Desktop. I just got it. I downloaded Windows6.0-KB940105-x64 but apparently it doesn't work for my model. My model is Vista Home Premium 32bit. Anyways, after I run Gears of War, a minute passes, it goes back to the desktop and has an error message that says that "Gears of War cannot run. Windows is searching for a solution." Though I can wait for hours and still not get a solution to my problem. Can anyone give me a hand? :confused:

It is possible that the error is caused by the incorrect version of this update. Here is a link to the correct version: Download details: Update for Windows Vista (KB940105)

Sorry dude, no can do. I even tried to turn on/off System Protection. And the download had the same outcome as the previous.
