Where can I get DirectX 10 for Vista?

Where can I download DirectX 10 for Vista? I heard that it should be installed on Vista already but I don't think I have it.

DirectX 10 is already installed by default.

You can install and update DirectX 9 though, check the Microsoft Download site.

Nevermind, I know that there is a DirectX 10.1. How do I know that I have it? Shouldn't I get it through an update for Vista?
