Network Controller and Intel HD Graphics Family not working

Hi,

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 660-4858. Service tag-number JPYXD5J. It originally came with W7, but I installed Vista Ultimate x64 on it. Now there are several drivers not working (when looking in device manager). I managed to solve most of them but there are still two I can not solve:

1. Network Controller. On Dell's website there are only drivers for W7 when looking up this device. According to the UKD ("UnknownDevices") software, the details for this device are:
Atheros Communications Inc
Dell Computer Corp
However, on Dell's website it appears to call the WLAN adapter (which I assume this 'network controller' is?) Dell DW1506 WLAN 802.11 b/g/n . Version of that driver is 9.2.0.484, A01, but it's only for Windows 7.
Any suggestions how I should find the latest driver for this device, for Vista??

2. Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (Dell's driver site calls it "Intel Graphics Controller" and "Intel UMA driver"). I actually did download drivers for this, supposedly for Vista. However, not thru Dell's site (they only have the driver for W7 and W8). But still there is an exclamation mark next to it in device manager, and every time I turn the computer on, this message is displayed on the icon tray:
Incompatible display adapter has been disabled.
At least one display adapter on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatible with the driver for the VGA adapter.
What exactly does this mean? Does it mean the actual monitor itself is not compatible with the Intel HD Graphics driver or what? Because I am using an older flatscreen (VGA) temporarily (getting a new one soon). But would that really cause the exclamation mark in device manager?

PS: If anyone knows of a GOOD "driver finder" type program, let me know. I used Driver Genius Professional 11 to aquire alot of the drivers (some I had to look up manually). Are there better ones out there? Because alot of these driver recognition softwares have a tendency to download the wrong drivers and just mess things up further. Driver Genius Professional 11 appears to be the one that has done the best job for me so far, but I'm sure you know of better ways to find out where to get the latest drivers?

I'm still worried it might have installed the wrong drivers or not the latest versions for some of the devices. Any suggestions on how to find out the latest drivers for my computer very much appriciated!!

Firstly, most people have been seeping whil you've been buming, and secondly, this isn't a simple question.

Downgrading to Vista is abit tricky, ofr even impossible.

The error is because you did not install the proper driver for the imntel video card, built onto the cpu. Not sure if your running the intel onboard gpu, as your tag says you have a nvidia gt 620.

But you can get the driver from intel, but I do not know what version of it you have, 3000 or 4000, but the intel driver should be aviable for Vista.
But gain, as the computer has a nvidia gt 620, it's not needed.

The wireless cards alot trickier. Sure its an Athros based chip, but getting a Vista driver is going to be tough.
I'll need more time on that one
I can't find anything.

Well I do have a NVIDIA card, and I have the drivers for that working OK.
But there's only one place to put a monitor cable in on the back, not two... so what's with the 'Intel HD Graphics' thing? When I put my service tag # in the Dell site they list drivers for the Intel HD Graphics (but for Windows 7). Why would they even offer downloads for that when there is no way to use it (since there's no place to connect the screen on the back to anything but the NVIDIA).

About the network adapter... There must be a software that can identify it? What is the ultimate software to identify hardware with? Or even better one that finds latest up to date drivers. Most programs I've tried are trash and end up downloading outdated drivers, or non-working ones.

Any suggestions greatly appriciated!

I'm sorry, you are correct, there are two video ports. Screen's currently plugged into the NVIDIA port. Could the reason for the exclamation mark in device manager be because of a conflict between the two drivers (even if both happen to be correct and working drivers)?
About the CPU:
Mainboard: Dell 0XR1GT / Chipset: Intel P75/B75

I did further research on the WLAN, and it appears the correct name of this adapter is not what Dell reported, but it's in fact a Atheros Communications AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter. I checked ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????) and they only offer drivers for XP (32/64-bit) and Win 7 (32/64-bit) for AR9485. You have any idea of where I should look to find one for Vista x64, now that you know the correct model number?

No, the 2 gpus are compatible, you just don't have the right drivers.
