driver lexmark all in one x1270 printer

hi, i am trying to install the driver for my lexmark printer all go's well until the instalation of the driver. Message states driver installation not sucssefull, Aioc stopped working or Printer interface stopped working,
go's through the procedure of starting a.i.o.c & printer interface but still the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know how frustating it can be when a driver will not install; lets start here:
How to Install a Lexmark Printer Driver | eHow.com
Carefully follow the instructions given above, even if you feel that is what you have already done.
If you still cannot install, remove everything from the computer except keyboard, monitor and mouse; try again
Still does not work, keep everything unattached for this and furture attempts
Use the CD that came with the printer to install
Still have problems
Save the driver to the desktop. Try to install from there.
