device manager help plze

Hi i have vista home 32 bit and i have run regertry program which found and fixed problems,the major problem i am having now is the device manager in admin is showing nothing it's blank i have tried 3 different registry fixes form Microsoft knowledge base articles to no avail does anybody have any ideas please help my computer after intsalling my kodak easyshare c180 camera wont be recognized by my computer but my older one works fine please any advice

Go to search and type services
And check you have service Plug and Play is started and set to AUTO

Due to the registry problems you have incurred.
I think it would be advisable:-

First, to assist in the elimination of possible virus and/or malware.
I would ask you to please use your Anti-virus full scan program facilities, making sure, you have updated the software first. Please advise us of the results.

If you do not have any anti-virus loaded please go to this link and download Microsoft Security Essentials :- Microsoft Security Essentials | Protect against viruses, spyware, and other malware

Secondly, please download:- malwarebytes Malwarebytes a Malware searching program, again, an updated full scan. Notify results please. Both these programs are Freeware

You will then know it is not virus or 'nasties', causing the problems.
